Cookie Policy
1. About This Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Routelume, Inc. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on routelume.com. Routelume is a route optimization platform for last-mile delivery fleets. Cookies on this site are used to operate the platform, remember your session and preferences, and measure how visitors use the site -- not to profile you for advertising purposes. This policy supplements our Privacy Policy.
2. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow us to recognise your device across page loads, maintain your login session, store preferences, and measure usage patterns. We also use related technologies such as local storage for banner dismissal state.
3. How We Use Cookies
| Category | Examples | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Session authentication token, CSRF protection, cookie-banner dismissal state (localStorage) | Session to 12 months |
| Preferences | UI preferences, form state between visits | Up to 12 months |
| Analytics | Anonymised usage measurement (pages visited, session duration) | Up to 13 months |
| Marketing | Not currently used | -- |
We do not place advertising cookies or sell data derived from cookies to third parties.
4. Notice and Choice
Our consent model for US visitors is notice-only: non-essential cookies (analytics) may operate from your first visit. A banner informs you of cookie use on your first visit. You can opt out of analytics cookies through our cookie banner at any time, or by configuring your browser to block or delete cookies. You may re-open the cookie banner at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer.
5. Universal Opt-Out Signals
Where applicable state law requires (including Texas under the TDPSA, as well as California, Colorado, Connecticut, and Oregon), we honour browser-transmitted opt-out signals such as the Global Privacy Control ("GPC") for sale and targeted-advertising categories. Because we do not engage in the sale or sharing of personal information, the practical effect is that analytics cookies are suppressed when a GPC signal is detected.
6. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies may be set by third-party service providers acting on our behalf (for example, anonymised analytics). We have agreements with such providers limiting their use of data to service delivery for routelume.com only. We do not permit third-party providers to use data collected through our site for their own independent purposes.
7. Managing Cookies
- Use our cookie banner (accessible via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer) to opt out of analytics at any time.
- Browser settings allow you to block or delete cookies site-by-site or globally. See aboutcookies.org for browser-specific instructions.
- Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent login and session functions from operating correctly.
8. Changes and Contact
We may update this policy as our use of cookies changes. The "Last updated" date will reflect any revision. Questions about this policy can be directed to:
